We install gas central heating systems into a variety of property types and project types, ranging from brand new build homes to old and character filled properties, commercial property and landlords with multiple properties. Whatever your requirements we normally have a solution that will fit for your property and in the very rare instances that we don’t directly have a solution then we have a great network of specialists that we work with from time to time to cover niche and speciality needs, this normally occurs when dealing with listed properties and historical properties managed by a Trust.
Heating at Home
For 99.99% of home owners in the UK we will have an affordable heating solution which will be both economical and energy efficient. We size equipment correctly for your property, never oversize equipment unless at the direct request of you the client, because sometimes we appreciate that there can be a genuine need to install oversized equipment, such as a new combi gas boiler where there may be plans for a future extension to the property or similar.
We sell, supply and install all manner of heating products including all major appliances such as boilers that are SEDBUK A rated Energy Efficient. Heating systems that we install are A rated for energy efficiency and you can see more details at Sedbuk and how it applies to innovative gas boilers.
Boiler Scrappage Scheme
The Boiler Scrappage Scheme which is operated by the Energy Saving Trust is now open and on a first come first served basis for UK domestic home owners, there is a lot of information springing up on the internet at the moment regarding this scheme but the source information regarding the Boiler Scrappage Scheme can be found here.
Wondering how to apply? This is where you can apply for the Boiler Scrappage Scheme. Or watch this informative video that has been developed by the leading boiler manufacturer – Baxi.
As a guideline of how to estimate what energy rating your current boiler is then a good place to start is this guideline document from the communities.gov.uk web site, or again, watch this excellent Baxi Video. Simply searching on the internet using Google or a similar search engine will yield several results but be careful which site you choose to receive information from as a lot of sites are owned by privately limited companies that are run as a gateway to their services. There is nothing wrong with this, but some sites choose not to promote that theirs is a private site and not an official public information site. Normally you should look out for sites that are .org or .gov type sites.
A good example of a private site that you might believe is public is sedbuk.com which actually is a very good information site even though it is a private company linked site, operated by GasTec at Cre Ltd who have a very good site for their own company, the sedbuk.com site navigation could be better but you will find the information you want if you persist.
Taking a Long Term Approach to Heating Using Air Source Heat Pumps
If you take the cost of your heating seriously and want to plan for the future then enquire about super efficient heat pump technology. We are currently rolling out air source heat pump technology as part of our product line up, watch this space for further details very shortly. We will be offering Air Source Heat Pump Technology to our commercial clients very shortly, around mid 2010, and then we will roll this out to domestic properties a little later – you can still contact us in the meantime to enquire about specific projects and particularly if you have a new build project coming up.
Without a doubt the future of heating is going to be Heat Pump Technology, there are a variety of technologies around and all of them are efficient way beyond anything you would get from a conventional boiler system. The investment is clearly significantly higher, service and maintenance costs are actually comparable even now but this also depends on the size of the system that you would need to have installed. In the long term, and even with today’s pricing of these products, you will gain major savings in the cost of heating your property.
Heating Commercial Properties & Offices
In many cases a domestic heating system is more than adequate for office heating in small to medium sized premises, although there can be instances where additional covers or work is needed to meet health and safety requirements. Needless to say that the size of the boiler equipment needs to be adjusted accordingly but in general a domestic heating circuit is fine. If you need something larger then we supply and install light commercial heating plant up to 72Kw and this includes light commercial boiler plant and gas fired heaters such as a Combat heater or similar.
Factory & Warehouse Heating
Clearly it is not just office staff that need to be kept warm, warehouses and open similar open work spaces such as a factory also need some form of heating, food storage excluded of course. If you don’t need to moderate the temperature of your wide open spaces then a heating only solution is probably your best solution, you can achieve this in a number of ways depending on the amount of investment that suits your budget.
We work in a variety of ways to this end, we are happy to supply you with a framework heating system design and quotation free of charge. For a more detailed heating system design we are happy to supply CAD drawings but this is a chargeable service and we deal with each enquiry on an ‘as is’ basis by providing you with a unique quote for design which is separate to the installation quotation.
Another practice which is becoming more and more popular during the current hard times for many companies is to give us a budget figure and ask for a survey which we will complete free of charge. We will then go and try to source the best possible solution for your needs based on your budget and in the process we will advise you if we feel there is inadequate provision for particular area of your property. We normally supply a number of options from which you can select and then proceed with the heating project. In more than half of the cases we can normally bring in the project under your initial budget, this is heavily dependent on your budget being realistic in the first place – and we will inform you of this during the very early stages.
Heating Service & Maintenance Plans
During 2010 we will be launching a heating system service and maintenance scheme for homeowners, later adding a scheme for landlords that own multiple domestic properties. Check back here periodically to see updates about this scheme.
If you want to get early bird information then a mailing list will appear here in the very near future – simply register and we will forward information to you as soon as it is available – registering will give you one months free subscription at the end of your first term i.e. your 12th month will be free.
Generally, we currently provide planned maintenance services to both home owners and commercial properties. Home owners can benefit from a fixed price service cost for a service visit which excludes parts and labour if any are required. We currently only provide responsive call out repairs to customers for whom we have installed a boiler or heating system. For the time being this will continue to be the case until we launch the new heating cover scheme when all customers with a subscription will receive a 24/7 call out service.
We will still not supply a call out service if you do not have a service plan. There are many heating and plumbing providers that provide such a service although the cost of an annual subscription will normally be the same as a single emergency call out charge from an emergency plumber, essentially you will get year round cover and an annual service for your heating for about the same cost. It should be a relatively easy decision.
