Link Policy

Webmasters and Other Site Owners

We have a link policy, the purpose of this policy is to both promote what we do as a business and as web site owner. We thoroughly believe in ethical practice in all aspects of running a business, our presence on the internet is no exception.

We endeavour to behave in a reasonable manner in all of our of activities, wherever they are performed, including our internet presence. We only ask that our friends, associates, clients, suppliers and competition to a certain extent, behave reasonably also.

To this end, we feel that it is important to be clear about our position with regard to outgoing and incoming links.

Outgoing Links General Policy

If you have a product or service of interest then you can request us to make a link to it from our web site,  in fact we will be adding a link request form to this page in the future but for now you can make requests to:

(please substitute this into a correct email address by changing the [words in brackets] ).

We will normally endeavour to weave your link into an appropriate place in our site, if you wish to have some accurate and descriptive text surrounding your link then you must supply it or we will ad-lib our own. You may not request where we position the link, we will decide that, but under normal circumstances we will try to give as much prominence as possible to your link without affecting the layout of our site.

We may promote your link to a more prominent position if it converts traffic particularly well, but this is our decision, not yours.

We will not add images to our site with embedded links, we want to keep imagery to minimum on this site and you will be required to respect that wish. We may make exceptions in the Store, but this will likely mean that we are affiliating to you or your program under normal circumstances, although this may not always be the case.

If your product or service is not relevant to our site, or business in general, then we will not add your link into the site, we will not inform you or provide a reason unless you explicitly request an explanation. An explanation will not change our decision.

If at any point you wish us to remove your link, then use the email address above to make the request and the link will be taken down as soon as is practically possible.

Incoming Links General Policy

If we add your link to our site, then it goes without saying that we expect you to link to us in return.

Even if you don’t link to us we may still add your link to our site.

We will never ask you to give us prominence, if you choose to give us prominence then this is your decision alone.

If you choose not to add a link to our site from your own site then during any AdWords campaigns, or any similar marketing burst that we may undertake, then we will temporarily take down your link/s. Like this:

• Company A link
• Company B link (we will take your link down like this)
• Company C link

When we have finished our AdWords campaign or marketing burst we will reinstate your link/s. This way we believe that we are not providing higher levels of traffic to sources that are not being reasonable by reciprocating links. We may also choose to replace your link with another link that has been reciprocated, if we so choose.

If you choose to link back to us, we will maintain your link even if we redesign the site and make old articles or pages redundant.

We hope that any link interaction between this site and your site is performed on the basis of being reasonable and with longevity.
