We are still currently offering the normal range of services that we have always offered.
Why can’t I see a contact email address here?
The reason is simple, and in two parts. As part of our new year’s resolution to be ethical as possible going forward in all areas of the business, and using the new site as a platform to launch that from, we decided to not just plug an email address here and opted for a contact form approach (which will be here very soon!).
Secondly, on our old site, spam was an issue and we also noticed that we were receiving emails purporting to be from our own company, we therefore assumed that other people were potentially receiving emails masquerading as being from our company.
This should never be the case, since we have always had a policy of no spam emails to anybody. We therefore thought it was about time to be a little more pro-active in this department. So, as you will see on our Privacy Policy page, we have promised not to place any mailing list or contact form information on the site until our Privacy Policy is actually live and published on the site.
Now you may think that this will hurt us in the short term, and truth be known it will, but better a short term pain for long term trust gain is how we see this. Our Privacy Policy will be published in the next few days, it is almost complete already and is going through scrutiny prior to sign-off. Once the Privacy Policy is live you will find a contact form here and also a mailing list for the newsletter and promotions which you will be able to sign-up to.
I can tell you that any mailing list will be double opt-in in future, and any contact form will be CAPTCHA protected – which is a minor irritation but well worth the extra few keystrokes to avoid spam. For your information, if you do not know what double-opt-in mailing lists are, it is simply a list where after you enter your name and email address in the subscription form, you get sent an email which you need to confirm by clicking a link in it before we actually add you to our mailing list. This ensures that it was really you that input your email address into the subscription box and not somebody else – thereby protecting you from receiving email you haven’t asked for.
